Stingrays Booster Club Meeting January 7, 2014
The meeting was called to order at 5:20pm by president Beth Baribault.

Savings account balance $1,837.86

Paid $1900.00 for merchandise to be sold

End of Season Banquet

March 18 at the Aqua Turf – A motion was presented and passed to add mac-n-cheese to the menu
•
Meal cost has gone up $1 from last year plus the cost of mac-n-cheese
•
Ticket price will increase from last year
•
Invite will go out to swimmers and family by February 1st
New England Regionals
•
March at MIT March 14-16 and 21-23
Barbara’s update –
•
The head coach position has been posted on the website, CT Swim website and the Y national website
•
A NJ coach has offered to put the word out and help train the new coach
•
We are trying to find someone by mid-February
•
Many teams are looking for new coaches – our position is being offered as a contracted position and the new coach will need to be US Swim certified
Discussion –
•
Team photo will be taken before the Feb 1st meet by Pat Matthews – 8 and under swimmers will be on pool deck at 12:15 and everyone else at 12:35pm
•
Photo cost will be $16
•
Championship Pep Rally – February 19th in the APR – we will order white bandanas and blue fabric markers – menu will consist of pasta, salad, rolls
•
Volunteers are needed to help set up and pick up food for the Pep Rally
•
Pat Maciejewski has graciously offered to be in charge of the concession stand for the Feb. 1st home meet
•
Chili’s fundraiser is all set for Sunday, January 19th 11am-11pm
•
We will be ordering little ducks to give to heat winners at our February home meet
•
Barbara suggested we consider making a $5000 donation to the pool renovations fund if we have the extra money left over in the budget. We will revisit that after all expenses have been paid for the season
•
Melissa Cordero will be selling TeaLightful at our home meet in the APR room and donate 15% of sales to the Stingrays Swim Team
Next meeting date will be on February 4th at 5:15pm
